19. Königswinter Postal Seminar

We are pleased to inform you the 19th Koenigswinter Postal Seminar will be held online on 9 and 10 November 2021.

After having pondered the pros and cons of meeting you all face-to-face at the conference venue Hirschburg in Koenigswinter, we finally decided to put everybody’s safety first and organise the seminar as an online event free of charge. The Postal Seminar will start on Tuesday, 9 November, at 2 pm (CET) and continue on Wednesday, 10 November, with a morning session from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Click here for a detailed schedule and programme.

We are looking forward to a range of highly relevant topics. Presentations on ‘Postal services in transition’ will provide insights into sustainability initiatives and local delivery solutions. On the market level, there are unmistakably signs towards transition, too. Letter markets are being slowly re-monopolised – and how should parcel markets be regulated in the future, with e-commerce giants as new delivery operators? How can universal service remain financially viable in these times? Different approaches to cut quality levels or raise prices will serve as a starting point for a surely insightful debate.

A highlight of the Postal Seminar will be a session on first experiences with the EU Cross-border Parcel Regulation, and a panel discussion on its impact. After the panel discussion on Tuesday, we would like to invite you to our virtual Hirschburg Networking Lounge that aims to bring some of the Hirschburg spirit and atmosphere to your office or home. Make sure you register in time for this networking event and become one of the 50 participants to benefit from our surprise package that will be sent to you.

We hope to see you at the 19th Koenigswinter Postal Seminar!
